Issue: Same Sex Marriage
Does not the Declaration of Independence say that our creator has given us certain unalienable rights? Those rights include life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Unalienable means that it can’t be taken away. So why is it that so many find themselves inclined to do just that? Why is the state involved with this to begin with? This sounds like a personal and religious contract between individuals. Who am I, OR THE STATE to approve, disapprove, acknowledge or reject.
There is a simple solution here. Just get the government out of our lives. No more marriage licenses, no more marriage tax categories and no more debate. This is what being a free people is all about?
