Greg Merle for Congress

About Me

Have you ever wanted your leadership to give it to you straight without all the spin and packaged talking points? Most of the voting public is quite sophisticated on the issues. I refuse to insult them by transparently dodging questions or filtering my message based on the makeup of the audience like all too often happens with politicians. No, what you see is what you get. I can be a little edgy and don't do well sugarcoating. I will fearlessly fight with passion and zeal to overcome the status quo socialists, earmarks, and lobbyists. I support small government and big individual. My jobs plan will make me persona non grata with each and every K Street lobbyist in Washington DC.

I don't do plain vanilla, go along to get along Republicanism. The political reporter at the Kalamazoo Gazette called me "a breath of fresh air". Think Glenn Beck on steroids.

I have absolutely no interest in controlling your money or your morals. One need only read the first passage of the Declaration of Independence to understand my political beliefs. My chief campaign issue is the economy and jobs. I have a concrete and actionable plan for improving these long neglected problems. As a Ron Paul Republican, I can promise you that the day I vote to raise taxes is the day I quit.

I graduated from Central Michigan University and have also served in the United States Marine Corps. I am currently employed as a pharmaceutical representative but my real passion is civics. I have a very unique racial background and speak fluent Spanish. I jokingly call myself the world's only black, white, Puerto Rican, Conservative/Libertarian.

Adopted at 6 months of age, I was raised in Pontiac to two hardworking, card carrying Union workers who did their best to inculcate me into liberal doctrine...it didn't take.
